Let's see... reaction #1 "get me the f*ck out of here" (there is good reason for this reaction).
Reaction #2: Yup, looks like a swarm, though guesstimating from photo not a huge one, so it could be a cast (a second swarm from a hive with a virgin queen). Generally swarms are placid (unless they were from my hives) as the bees have all gorged themselves before taking off in preparation for having no stores when they find a new home. What's really something to see is the air full of bees when they've just left the hive
The beekeeper on seeing this thinks both "wow" and "cr*p, there goes my honey".
